At a young age, Dr. Kishalay Sinha knew he wanted to become a physician to “improve the overall health of our communities.” Getting to know patients is his favorite part of his profession. “I take care of my patients like I take care of my parents. I have a strong relationship with my father and mother; therefore, I apply those same principles in serving the senior population.” Dr. Sinha says. He wants patients to feel supported. “I motivate and inspire my patients to take control of their health,” he adds. He likes seeing his patients often and strives to be accessible. He always speaks with patients “in a positive and uplifting manner.” In his free time, Dr. Sinha can be found weightlifting, cooking, or working on his golf swing.

Fatima Ahmed

Dr. Fatima Ahmed chose to pursue a career in medicine to help make a difference in people’s lives and contribute to “the wellness of society as a whole.” Her favorite part of her profession is developing relationships with patients. She explains that she tries to “provide the best possible care” to gain her patients’ trust. She likes listening to them and asking them questions to “better understand their experiences and expectations.” She also loves the endless learning opportunities. “Medicine is an ever-evolving field and offers great potential for self-growth and acquisition of knowledge,” she explains. Dr. Ahmed enjoys reading, cooking, and enjoying time with family in her down time. She also collects coins and stamps.

Emerson Valdez

Dr. Emerson Valdez explains that he was in high school when he realized his desire to pursue a career as a physician. “I chose podiatry because I can help patients with many different modalities,” he elaborates. For Dr. Valdez, seeing his “patient’s appreciation” is the best part of his profession. He specializes in all forms of podiatry, including wound care and surgery. He is grateful for the opportunity to care for the senior population and has done so for nearly fifteen years. When Dr. Valdez is not caring for his patients, he can be found enjoying quality time with his son and granddaughter. He also enjoys listening to audio books and playing sports with friends, especially soccer and golf.

In her practice, she emphasizes the importance of prevention and believes in taking a holistic approach to care, which she does by “getting to know the patients personally.” Learning from patients is one of her favorite parts of her profession. “I am here for listening, working as a team and preparing a plan adjusted to your needs,” she says. She finds great satisfaction in caring for seniors. In her down time, Dr. Bravo Ramirez loves visiting parks and museums. She also enjoys trying new restaurants.

Originally from Romania, Dr. Daniela Botoman, known familiarly as “Dr. B,” has “always loved to take care of people.” She explains, “I was surrounded all my life with Senior relatives, and I come from a culture where we live multiple generations in same house/town and take care of our elderly.” She strives to make herself available to patients and likes “taking the time to understand their worries and questions.” She loves encouraging patients and “praising them for their success.” She is committed to helping patients “have more pleasant, joyful, good days with their loved ones.” When not at work, Dr. B can be found caring for her two 90-year-old parents. Suzette Bellorin is a family nurse practitioner who specializes in cardiology. She is grateful to serve the senior population and loves listening to their stories. “I always try to enter a patient’s room with a smile and a warm, positive greeting and attitude,” she says. Suzette Bellorin aims to treat patients like family and says seeing a smile on their faces is her “biggest reward.” If she could change anything about the current healthcare system, she would make it more accessible. “I always strive to deliver safe, compassionate, and effective care to every patient and individual that I encounter,” she says. In her free time, Suzette Bellorin enjoys traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing new languages and cultures.
